Great news Cal! Thank you!
And good to know the programme earlier than usual.
People will have more time to make a decision on their trip to Kraków.

This time the festival will span two Polish cities: Kraków and Katowice. One of the reasons is Kilar Award founded by both the cities and this year it's time for award ceremony to take place in Katowice.
And one of the concerts - Scoring 4 Polanski with music by Komeda, Kilar, Desplat, Sarde, Morricone and Goldsmith - will be held in Katowice too (on May 24th).

Scoring4Polanski concert will be repeated in Kraków on May 25th (ICE venue).
On both occasions the orchestra will be conducted by Dirk Brosse.

May 26th - a new series of concerts will start - Cinematic Piano.
First artist to perform will be Polish pianist Aleksander Dębicz playing music from his album "Cinematic Piano"

May 26th - second concert on this day will be a concert of the music by Polish composers Henryk Wars and Bronisław Kaper (they were active from 1930s to 1960s).

May 27th - alterFMF concert: Drone Sounds. AUKSO orchestra conducted by Anthony Weeden will play pieces from scores by Joseph Trapanese, Daft Punk, M83, Cliff Martinez, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Łukasz Targosz.

May 28th - Gala Concert with music from animated pictures (Lion King, How To Train a Dragon, Shrek, Ice Age 2 and Spanish animation "Atrapa la bandera") Guest composers will be: John Powell, Harry Gregson-Williams and Diego Navarro.

May 29th - a concert of FMF Youth Orchestra - also with music form animated pictures

May 29th - Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark - screening of the movie with score being played live

May 30th - Video Game Show: Witcher 3 concert

Hey guys! I'll be buying festival tickets for our group as usual. Already contacted Kraków Festival Bureau to make sure our great cooperation with FMF continues next year.

Please let me know if you need a ticket. You can write here in this thread or PM me.

I edited Cal's post at the top of this thread and added some FMF oldtimers to "Maybe list". Yes, you can take it as a sign that it would be awesome to meet you again in Kraków, guys! So please, don't wait long with booking your tickets Smile

This year we will have both single tickets being sold separately for every concert and "karnet" option for those who want to attend all events and pay less.

I know there will be more than one option for "Karnets" but details will be announced officially on Friday.

Remember that it's possible to return your ticket/karnet (deadline falls on a day a week before the start of the festival). So you can book a ticket or karnet now even if you are not 100% sure you are coming.
Just don't forget to inform me what your final status is before May 10th 2016.

I would like to be added to the "going" list (and not maybe). me, family, some friends. I am trying to get some to come from Germany and Moldova as well. It is a good reason to visit Krakow.

The FMF FB page says the tickets will already go on sale on Monday. I assume FMF will set aside some good seats for us ? Wink I hope so!

At any rate, I will need tickets. Is it already time to indicate how many do you think?

Hi Dallas!
I talked with KBF and I believe we can expect our seating to be as usual.

It would be great to know your number as soon as possible. Remember you can book tickets with SST group now and tell me to return them later. No problem.

It's better to book too many now than too few.

EDIT:

Prices of tickets and karnets have been announced.

More here: http://fmf.fm/bilety (in Polish. BTW: There is also English version available when you click "EN" in the top right corner of the site, but it doesn't look too convincing at the moment. Looks like they have some errors there).

Prices of the best seats are:

Scoring4Polański: 90 PLN
Cinematic Piano: 40 PLN
Wars & Kaper: Deconstruction 50 PLN
Drone Sounds: 90 PLN
Gala of Animation scores: 80 PLN
Youth Orchestra concert: 35 PLN
Indiana Jones movie: 80 PLN
Witcher 3: 80 PLN

So single tickets for all 8 concerts cost: 545 PLN

There are also "karnets" available. You can buy them in two options:

- all 3 concerts in Tauron Arena Kraków (Gala of Animations, Indiana Jones movie, Witcher 3): best seats price is 170 PLN (instead of 240 PLN when you buy single tickets)
- Scoring4Polański + Wars & Kaper + Drone Sounds + 3 concerts in Arena mentioned above: best seats price: 380 PLN (instead of 470 PLN). This option doesn't include Cinematic Piano concert nor Youth Orchestra.

There is also Christmas sale for tickets with reduced prices. For example the most expensive karnet is 300 PLN and not 380 PLN during this sale period. I hope we can buy our seats in time to grab reduced tickets/karnets.

Prices for a concert in Katowice will be announced on Monday (Dec. 21st).

BTW:
They suggest that Scoring4Polański (May 25th) is for adult audience (at least 18 years old), Drone Sounds concert (May 27th) and Witcher 3 concert (May 30th) are both suitable for folks who are at least 16 and Indiana Jones movie is suggested for kids from 11 years old.

Moved you up the list Dallas.
Will keep you informed.
Arranging this for SST is my pleasure. Especially when working with KBF is really smooth. And it always is.

Hi Mol, this time I won't be able to stay so long in Cracow but I 'm going to bring my family Confused I 'll send PM to you with details what we need.

Due to a public holiday falling on Thursday there will be four-day bridge weekend. I expect Cracow will be extremely crowded so I would recommend book accommodation as early as possible.
