As part of our ongoing effort to remove redundant tracks from the playlist, Track 11-“End Credits” has been deleted from the track list above.
However, it is still available on the <b>Frontiers</b> (Jerry Goldsmith) album.
“Why did you remove it from the original score album instead of the compilation?” you ask. Both are excellent recordings and were encoded in Lossless format here on SST. The scales were tipped in favor of <b>Frontiers</b> because in our opinion (and that of many reviewers), this is Jerry Goldsmith’s definitive performance and interpretation of his signature sci-fi works. The Royal Scottish National Orchestra is conducted by the composer himself, so the performances are authoritative and in some cases better than the originals.
