Thanks GalFin, DieTeeFee, and Dragonel. I've updated the list at the top of the thread, and put little "NEW 2017" markers next to these three.
Theme day is going well this year. Thanks to everyone for your participation! _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

| Thank you LadyInque for starting this and compiling the list of composers. It was a fun day of requesting really good music from female film composers. |

The Silent One by Jenny McCleod seems to be missing from the list... _________________ The right song can turn an emperor into a laughing stock, can bring down dynasties. A song can last long after the events and people in it are dust and dreams are gone. |

All right, fans, this day is coming up in a week. If you spot any female composers who aren't on the list at the top of the thread, post 'em here so I can update it and be ready. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

What about
Sylvia Fine (The Court Jester)
and
Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Frozen)?
Both listed in Wikiepedia as co-writers rather than just lyricists
..... and wouldn't lyricists count anyway? _________________ If you can't stand the heat, don't tease a dragon |

Great article, Mojo, thanks for sharing. I hadn't heard of any of these composers before... which is rather the point, no?
I found two more female film composers, Isobel Waller-Bridge and Hildur Gudnadottir, but we don't have any of their stuff in the library. Have to keep my eyes open, then. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

Thank you Mojo! Added Germaine Franco to our list (mentioned in the linked article). _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,
