Honestly......... it sounds odd.
Not the message, that's ok, but the way he's saying it.
The way his voice has been distorted sounds like it has been done for no particular reason other than that it could be done.
Think of all your foreign listeners!
An undistorted voice is easier to understand.... _________________ "Welcome to the paranoia club; cheapest fees in the universe and membership lasts forever."

I'd vote for a re-recording of "From A to Zimmer" with the right (german) pronounciation of the name "Zimmer"
I agree with Nessy, but with adding a composer's name for the "A", like Arnold or Amar.
I'll add this idea, short : "SST, more than a music station, a whole community" _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution

I know in the past we've had some heavily distorted voices, and I agree that they're a problem. In this case, though, I believe that the voice is only distorted at the beginning, and that is done intentionally. After the word "fingertips" it's a normal radio voice, at least to my ears. It's making fun of a stereotypical over the top commercial for a monster truck rally where everything is distorted and overblown.
For example:
Perhaps I'm seeing humor where there isn't any (or at least it wasn't intended).
However, that doesn't invalidate your broader point. Some of the other IDs we've had in the past struck me as "overproduced" with a lot of needless effects, and I strongly recommend we avoid that.
Although I like this example (although it does seem to abruptly end, like they forgot to fade out the music after the voice over), perhaps it's not appropriate given the large number of foreign listeners.

Not me. I smile every time I hear it. Love it!
But I'm for having it re-recorded and added again. Would hate to lose it.
Don't get me wrong, I still like my original idea, I just think that it's not implemented properly. To me the question "Do you like...?" is read as a statement. A very confusing statement.
Am I the only one who thinks it's a little off? Perhaps I'm an over-sensitive artist who isn't satisfied with someone else's interpretation of my work?
