|
Hi,
I made an app for the community - because I can
To find it:
Go to Google Play and search for 24Seven fm
I think fm is optional - but some are having difficulties without it.
Let me know how it works.
There are still a few hiccups. To mention an annoying one, would be the lack of stopping the music when receiving calls.
Features in the latest version:
- Low bandwidth streams (32k Bit AAC+) has just been added using a third party library.
Update 10-04-12:
In- and outgoing calls now stops the music

Thank you so much for this App! I was waiting for an App to listen to SSC while I'm not at home and you gave it to all of us.
You get a big hug for your hard work from me *hugs*
Great job and greetings from Berlin,

Nice. Rather bare bones app. Any plans to add personalisation features, ie. allow login, ratings, requests?
Also, can I suggest to add the station names to the description, so it comes up on "streamingsoundtracks" search? Right now it's rather impossible to find it on Market. |

Well done cpmonster It's a simple app indeed, but it fullfills its role perfectly! _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

The keyword for this app is simple.
There are a ton of players out there with a million features and buttons to be confused by.
I will keep true to my vision: To make the worlds simplest streamer.
Plans for the future include:
- Show (some of) the queue
- Show currently playing track length.
- Maybe I'll add 'request from favourites'; however don't count on it. It'll require login, security and a lot more complexity.
The plan is to make the radio buttons editable though, so one could add any stream out there without compromising the simplicity of the app too much.

- New layout, I really couldn't look at it any more.
- Community details on all requests. Now you can see users name and comment.
The landscape view is still not quite done. Any ideas?
- I'm thinking of making a list of the queued requests and user comments, next to the album art; as seen on the site.
Let me hear any thoughts, ideas or questions to functionality or layout. |

got the new Samsung Galaxy III recently... installed the app... and can't get the music to stop... EEEP! Had to restart the phone. Couldn't find an Exit option.
Just sayin'.
But other than that, I'm enjoying it! |

You can stop the music by tapping the album cover of currently played track, NHF. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

However; This is still interesting from a usability point of view.
You missed the description on the App store where this information is particular outlined.
You also missed the popup message when you press a station name, that says "press Album art to stop stream".
- Maybe the Galaxy S3 do not show this popup text?
I'll look into other ways of letting the user know how to stop the stream.
- Maybe a small user guide in the option menu? |
