While I was wondering what to do after the John Williams concert end of August in Hollywood, I spoke with SST member Cinder and Twopop.
We will meet in Astoria, Oregon during Labour Day Weekend (Sept 3rd - 4th)
Maybe we can make it a 24Seven.FM gathering. I will post this message on every station. So everybody is welcome.
I have no idea yet what we can do together, but a fine dinner on saturday evening can be part of it.
We can talk about our different taste of music (in a friendly way of course) and what we have in common.
Let us know if you will come and maybe put in some suggestions we can do.
Visit the Astoria website to get an impression and see what we could do there. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

Long and expensive trip for me but to meet Cinder and Twopop in person would be incredible! Much more interesting for me than even meeting John Williams! _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Oh, I'm jealous. All these get-togethers on the left coast, and me stuck here in the East. Even if I could afford the money and time, there's the Inqueling making everything more complicated. I think I need to keep my eyes open for relevant events in my area, and see if anything can get pulled together. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

Well you always can organize one (or let someone do it) in your neighborhood.
It is not that difficult, just try to meet one or two that are in near you and if they say yes post it here and maybe others will come too. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

*faints*
Are you really coming to the US, Mol?! That's WONDERFUL news!!
It will be so much fun to show you around our area, although I don't know if it will be nearly as spectacular as some of the countries you've hiked around or mountain ranges you've climbed. But it will be different.
LadyI, it would have been fun to see you again, and see BabyI.
Looking forward to seeing how many other 24seven fans can make it. |

Two... wake up dear.... I need fanning too... molossus in the US!!! Our side even? WOW!!! Oh way too cool.
I am overwhelmed. Here is water, Two.. share.. I need some!!!
Astoria is such an awesome town. Not so big, but friendly and lots to see.
This one is right up Sirius' alley. He loves to see where movies were filmed. There have been 7 movies made or parts of, in this little town.
Tons of history here as well. Lewis and Clark passed by too. Good food, lots of places to stay and well, if you need any more data, just ask!
Here are two of my photos.
Kindergarten Cop
Jump here Willy!!!! Free Willy 1 & 2 _________________ A good sound track will let me relive the movie, I can cry over them as well. Hand me the tissues...please. |

I'd like to Two and I'm thinking about it but nothing is decided yet. I must count my money well and get a visa from USA Embassy. I will let you and Cinder know as soon as my decision is made. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Yeah, but what really makes me jealous are all the cool concerts. For example, I'd love to hear Bear McCreary in concert, but I doubt he's coming to New England any time soon. |

I am going to *try* my best to come up there for the weekend Fury and I are also counting our pennies so hopefully we can manage a little trip to the NW! Would be great to meet more SST people of course... _________________ The right song can turn an emperor into a laughing stock, can bring down dynasties. I will keep my fingers crossed that you will be able to make it, Mol!!
And please don't worry about letting us know. No pressure one way or the other.

Well I am seriously planning things out at the moment, and while it is still a ways off...would we all want to stay at the same hotel? Or just find what you can afford in the area...
As for things to do, visiting the movie sites are a must! Got to go see the Goonies house _________________ The right song can turn an emperor into a laughing stock, can bring down dynasties. A song can last long after the events and people in it are dust and dreams are gone. |

I didn't think about it as a pressure thing. Wanted to share good news as soon as possible, rather. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,
