Why haven�t I seen [Insert Membername here] recently?

As with any chat room, sometimes members are very active for a while and then life changes and they drift off or disappear for a short time or a long one. It's hard to tell at times if someone really is missing, or just hasn't been online at the same time as you. So I thought it would be nice to have a place to make comments if you know you are going to be absent for a while, or maybe are paying a brief visit back having been absent, to let others know what�s happening in your life. Or if you know what's happened to make someone MIA, it would also be nice to have a place to share it.

Of course, there may be another posting for this which I've just missed, in which case I'm sure someone will tell me Smile

Why am I thinking about such a topic? Unfortunately, because I am about to disappear for a while myself Sad

. As some of you know from chat, I was laid off at the end of November and have been searching for another position. I have managed to secure a 6-month contract job, starting Monday - but I won't be able to chat or even listen while I'm working (as it�s one of those big companies that bans streaming websites). I may be able to drop in occasionally in evenings or weekends, but I know I will miss many of the work-week listeners that way.

So I just wanted to express my thanks to everyone who has made SST such fun with great requests, great conversations and wonderful flights of fancy. Thank you for your support and good wishes and hopefully I'll see you around in the not so distant future.

And maybe once in a while, when Doctor Who plays, you'll hear the flap of dragon-wings in the distance Wink
