A lot of discussion today in chat on symbols we can use, so it seemed a good idea to start a thread where we can look them up.
Or just copy/paste symbols from, if we're feeling lazy

Good Idea!
I just learned a few today:
♥ Hold Alt + hit 3 on the numbers pad or & # 9829 without spaces
♪ Hold ALT + hit 13 on the numbers pad or & # 9834 without spaces
♫ Hold Alt + hit 14 on the numbers pad & # 9835 withour spaces _________________ It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

I know a few
♥ and ♡ = ♥ and ♡
♩ and ♫ = ♩ and ♫ notes (but the first one doesn't work for everybody)
☂ = ☂
★ = ★
► and ◄ = ► and ◄
☀ = ☀
◡ and ◠ = ◡ and ◠
░ and ▒ and ▓ and █ = ░ and ▒ and ▓ and █
well that are those i remember right now, maybe i'll post some more later...
EDIT:
Tink's system does only work if your keyboard is set in a certain way, that it uses those symbols for your codes |

Posted that in the Queue:
And if I highlight that code it shows this up:

Here's a super-comprehensive list of everything. Snowmen, biohazard symbols, airplanes, etc. It's a huge list, but you can click on the links and it takes it down to manageable sized pages with copy and paste html codes. The good stuff is in the 9000's. http://www.visibone.com/htmlref/char/cer.htm |

Thanks for posting Nessy! What a good idea to put this in the forums, I didn't even think to do it. ♥ _________________ The journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step. |
