One more link for a good start:
http://www.hans-zimmer.com/
(unofficial but very good site including news, interviews, audio samples, forums etc. not only about Hans Zimmer but also about other Media Ventures and Remote Control Productions composers. I think many of HZ's fans know that place well) _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Ron Howard and Hans Zimmer briefly talk about how the track Chevaliers de Sangreal came to be Robert Langdon's theme in The Da Vinci Code and how it was adapted to be what the music was built around for Angels & Demons. You also get to hear a sample of the music with organs and violin solo leading into the Chevaliers de Sangreal theme!
And here is a link to where you can preview the each track from the Angels & Demons score The site isn't in english, but it is easy to navigate and hear the samples! Enjoy!

This is an 1 hour documentary from 1998
Musik, der unsichtbare Schauspieler - Hans Zimmer in Hollywood
This documentary was directed by Henning Lohner (a German composer who sometimes works with Zimmer).
They talk in both German and English.
This video shows Zimmer talking a lot, chatting a lot, working a bit (), singing a bit (LOL),
plinking his piano & keyboards, and touring MediaVentures Studios & his own house. _________________ Miya the Pridelander

Hans Zimmer gives a tour of his soundtrack production studio...maybe not the most interesting video, but worth kinda seeing how things are set up and hear Hans talk about the studio as a whole....

It's actually one of the bonus features on Special Edition DVD.
I believe all TLKFC members already have it, right?
But those features are worth watching for all Zimmer fans/score fans too.
It has 7 segments about music production, total time is about 25 minutes, and the video above is just an introduction. Other segments are mostly about Hans Zimmer & Lebo M rather than Elton John & Tim Rice.
There are 2 segments ("Orchestral Color" & "Scoring Emotion") completely focused on Hans Zimmer. They are really good interviews, especially the latter, where he explains how he put his own emotion into the theme "father's death". _________________ Miya the Pridelander
