One of the hardest things when being a part of a community as long as I have been here at SST is that it comes with the burden of having to share sad news.
We received word earlier today that one of our long time members, maddog, sadly lost her fight with cancer and moved on to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge on February 11, 2023.
I raise a glass today in her honor. Sadly, she is not the only person our SST family has lost over these last few years. We have also lost such wonderful people such as Cinder and Pesadelo.
I would like to dedicate this space as a place where folks can share their memories of members we have lost.[/i] _________________ “Without music, life would be a mistake.”

Here is her obituary if anyone wants to leave a message for her family.

She was such a wonderful person. I am better for having her in my life for 19 years, even if it was off and on through SST. _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |

I did not know maddog, yet this comes as tough news. Thank you for posting, Thur.

It's so hard to believe that our dear friend PeteC has passed away. He was truly a beautiful soul and I feel so lucky to have been able to meet him in person, let alone all the wonderful chat interactions we've had here. He will be sorely missed! _________________ The journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step. |

Wow, that's sad to hear. PeteC suffered through illness probably more than any of us on SST are aware, and yet he always brought positivity and optimism whenever he was logged on. We'll miss him.

Even though I have not been around here for quite some time, the news of the passing of maddog and Pete saddens me a lot.
They all were beautiful people who will be sorely missed, not only in this community. _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,

Even with logging on in the chat so infrequently, it was always a pleasure to get on during a day that Pete's in there. Always made you feel welcome and included, and an absolute kind soul even with all the things he had to go through the last little while.
RIP: Pete, have fun up there with all the legendary composers.
I appreciate Lmarre for reaching out to me on FB to tell me the sad news _________________ "Listen, Centauri. I'm not any of those guys, I'm a kid from a trailer park."

Aw, dang, Pete. I don't come around much anymore, so this is the first I've heard. I feel lucky to have known him and am sad at the loss, but I'm also glad that he is no longer constantly suffering. My condolences and sympathies to his family.
*Edit*
I realized that I didn't comment on maddog here, but not to snub. I'd heard about her around when she passed, but hadn't been to the forums. Didn't get to talk to her much, but she seemed cool. I'm glad she's also no longer in pain. |

I heard it from you, but also got a message from LMarrese at the same time as this post came in.
AveD was a longtime member of 24Seven, and was loved by many of us. She will be missed, and our hearts go out to her family during this trying time. _________________ “Without music, life would be a mistake.”
