A recent interview with Bruno about his work on Coraline and what it was like to score his first American film.
Interview
An translated interview with Bruno right before Coraline came out, short but it talks a little bit about everything he has gone through with his career in film scoring so far.

Bruno Coulais will be honored at the Paris' cinematheque from the 4th to the 18th of May, with the projection of 28 movies he scored, a master-class and a concert.
I'll go to see this concert, cause I can't go Krakow : a string quarter with percussions and french horn will play music from "le fils du requin" (the shark's son), Microcosmos, Don Juan , Himalaya and Coraline.
It's the 4th of May

The concert was astonishing. 10 musicians played the music of Microcosmos, Le fils du requin, Le deuxième souffle, Coraline, Ulzhan, Oceans, Stabat mater, Les femmes de l'ombre, Genesis, Don Juan, Villa amalia, Le peuple migrateur.
At the end of the concert, Jean-Michel Bernard played on the piano variations upon the Coraline theme.
The musicians gave the best of themselves, and hearing this beautiful music live is beyond words. _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution |

Nice they played Don Juan too
And good to hear you had a good time, masked!
I hope we will meet some day at some of the film music concerts. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

When in Paris we much enjoyed the vocal qualities of Nolwenn Leroy. As it turns out to be she is singing in a show at Futuroscope in Poitiers, France.
This show is on music by Bruno Coulais!!
