Oh no! This is so sad. The world has certainly lost one great composer. Robin Hood, Band of Brothers, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, I could keep on going...
My thoughts to his family who lost a member too soon. _________________ "Anything one man can imagine,

I also think this is a great opportunity for SST to pay Michael Kamen a respectable tribute by playing lots of his soundtracks tomorrow. _________________ "Anything one man can imagine,

Damnit.... damnit damnit damnit damnit.
He certainly died at a young age. But somewhere he can be proud that in the small amount of time he had, he has left a body of work that will serve as his legacy for a very long time. |

What a loss!
Probably a few months ago, I might have known who Michael Kaman was, but not "WHO" he was. I knew the name, but not the soul. The first work of his I listened to was Band of Brothers, and the music was so incredibly moving, that I sought out other works...and found them equally as stimulating and emotional.
I find it sad, that the media front-pages Michael Jasksons pedophilic activities, and yet we have to dig to even find out that one of our comrades passed away quietly.
A lesson is to be learned here I think... Amidst the harsheness, and perversem there is beauty. One needs only to close the door to one and seek the other.
Rest in Peace, Michael. Your music will live forever.

This is a very sad event. A very talented composer capable of writen some of the best music.
From now on, every time I play music from BoB, my memories will be with him.... |

I just found out today that Michael Kamen died in November 2003 from a heart attack at 55! What a young age! Especially for a great composer. Here's a brief list of some of his works that I knew well:Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and he has so many more.
What a loss! Well, Michael Kamen day is coming April 6th!!! WE WILL REMEMBER HIM! _________________ "Get it?...Got it!...GOOD!" -- The Court Jester |
