I just tried to select track 1 "Robin (The Hooded Man)" from Clannad's Legend album
http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules.php?name=Album&asin=B0000AM6OW

Despite the request buttons being green, it gave me a message that it couldn't be played as the album was already in the queue.

When I examined the queue, the album that I think was causing the problem was "Legend" but with music by Jerry Goldsmith.
http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules.php?name=Album&asin=B0000658FS

So it looks to me as if the request buttons are reading from the ASIN, but the actual player application is just checking the album name.
I realize this may be deliberate for preventing two albums for the same film both being in the queue (I know there are two albums for Tomorrow Never Dies), but these two albums are not connected at all, they just coincidentally have the same name. And in a number of cases albums for the same film have different names - I know we had two Elf albums playing back to back earlier.

This probably happens infrequently enough that it's not worth a major fix, but if there's an easy change that would be good, even if it is just to change the request buttons to show "not available"

Thanks

We just discovered the same thing with the 2 "Elf" soundtracks.

It's just a matter of changing the album name to "Legend (Clannad)".

Twopop can decide what's easiest for her, and she will handle it when she gets the time.

Same problem with "Psycho", "Casino Royale" or "Jane Eyre".
I'm sure there are others...

Thanks for pointing these out. I'll try to take care of them tonight.

We just finished watching the DVD set of Robin of Sherwood (Set 1), the first series from 1983. It was outstanding! Can't wait to watch Set 2. Just added it to my Netflix queue. The Special Features (disk 5) was really interesting, hearing the actors, screenwriter, producer, and director talking about it 16 years later.

imho - Most of the score by Clannad is very enjoyable, especially the parts she sings such as the theme. But I still have a problem with 80's midi synthesizer music in Medieval / Renaissance period films, such as in this series and Ladyhawke. That electronic sound and the syncopated rhythms in the dances just feel wrong.

You are right.
These albums have now been edited so they can be in the queue at the same time (if the tracks don't have the same composer of course).
I checked over about half the playlist and found several dozen duplicate titles so far. Two were Jingle All The Way, which I went ahead and fixed since it's a Christmas movie. I'll try to get to the others soon.

You can make a list of the cases and I will be glad to make a couple of SQL commands to change their Album titles. The list should be something like ASIN + (new) Album title.

Great job, twopop and pesa! Smile
I like to put some close music in the queue, or music for films and remakes, and I often couldn't because of that.

The albums in the list above, and the ones you mentioned, have been edited so they have unique names.

If you notice any duplicates in the future, please drop me an email. Thanks!
