Personally, I think the best part of this is the Westworld for its quirky western tunes and the Goldsmith stuff is kind of lackluster. Since there's not much Fred Karlin represented here, I would support this being added. |

I'm always interested in hearing more Goldsmith, so I voted yes to have this album added. _________________ "My Logic is Undeniable" - I, Robot |

I voted "yes" just for the Roy Budd score alone. What a wonderful addition it would be.
Everyone agrees on "More Jerry!" In the case of Coma, though, be careful what you wish for.
I just listened to it again (on LP), but this new release has many more tracks. Hooray for Film Score Monthly.
The music is absolutely perfect for the film - that should tell you a lot if you've seen it. All tracks, except the love theme & disco tunes (sooo 70's ), are very dissonant. Interesting to listen to, especially since they are orchestrated for just strings and 4 pianos, but probably not ones that will get much play on SST after their initial introduction. (But that can be said of many tracks we have.)
The music for Coma was applied much like it was for Cast Away. No music for approximately the first hour, then almost non-stop after that. |

This should be on it's way to SST at the moment. Interested to hear the scores myself... |
