|
Please list any comments, suggestions or feedback you have regarding the composer focus threads. I am curious to hear comments regarding the first posts of each composer focus thread. I would like to keep the first post informative with just some basic information. I created the standard intro and added a few links (where applicable) to informative sites like a Composer’s website, SoundTrack Collector(discography), Wikipedia, IMDB, etc. What would people like to see in the first post or not see in the first post?
I also plan to go back and fill in with some additional links including several links from mellowman’s great compilation of links, links to fan club threads, links to the composer request page on SST, etc. Eventually it would be great to have a thread dedicated to every composer, but for now I started with mostly prominent composers and then can fill in with more composers in the future.
These composer threads should provide a great opportunity to talk about all things regarding specific composers. It is very similar to many of the ‘fan club’ threads, but hopefully covering a wider variety of information about the composer. |

Wow! Huge and impressive work done Nate! Nearly 140 new threads! Thank you very much!
I'm very curious how those threads will develop. I'll try to add something here and there from time to time, to help them grow, of course. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Excellent. Wonderful. Amazing.
Nate--you must have put quite a lot of time into this. We humble SST users can only thank you for your work.
Let the discussions begin!...

Thanks for all the hard work, Nate!
Hopefully, this will inspire some new folks to post about their favorite composers. |

I like this new feature already. _________________ If our music survives, which I have no doubt it will,

The only thing I've found a bit odd: alphabetized by first name?... Maybe it's because I'm an academic, or maybe it's because I haven't been completely converted to iTunes's manner of organization, but something seems very askew when composers are listed by first name.
Or maybe it's just me...

Yeah, I understand what you are saying Luther However, it was easier to do a sorted list by first name when putting together the directory plus the playlist is organized the same way so I was trying to remain consistent
Thanks everyone for the comments and feedback, keep it coming! |

Nice work Nate and everyone who is responsible for this! I'll try to add some stuff when I get a chance.
It's great to see that you're also including photos of the composers. Thanks Sirius for hosting the pics on your site! Just make sure that these photos are free to use and not copyrighted. |
