(CNN) -- A new computer worm spread rapidly through the Internet on Tuesday, exploiting a Microsoft vulnerability security experts have warned about for several weeks.

Never trust in one line of defense. I use 3 myself.
Update the patches
Update the virus defs
Keep the firewall tight
Not saying I can't be hacked but I try at least to block the script kiddies _________________ A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. - Calvin and Hobbes - |

I have a router and use a software firewall too (to keep tabs on programs connecting out), plus keep up to date on virus def's and patches. Despite all this, I am still being affected by that evil blaster worm. My ISP shut down all ICMP traffic a few days ago, making it nearly impossible to find gaming servers with a good ping. Sigh... |
