Been happily listening to StreamingSounds on my PC but would like to listen on my Roku Soundbridge but I cannot make the Roku work with the stream. I assume I'm doing something wrong but hoped someone may see what!

I am using

http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/WMP-hi.asx

as my stream for the Roku.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
jon

Have you tried the Roku Radio Snooper?

After trying the software myself it seems the Roku devices don't support either AAC Plus or Ogg.
As these codecs are required to listen to the streams, you'll have to wait until Roku supports them.

With a quick search in the forums of Roku I found that they are possibly going to support new audio formats in newer software (firmware) versions. So I guess you'll have to wait until then.

Many thanks for finding that out for me Stefan - I appreciate it very much. I'll go and nag Roku to support them Smile

We also have plans on adding MP3 streams soon. I actually tried to add them last week but we're having problems with them on our 64-bit system. I am working with SpacialAudio to get this resolved.

Again, many thanks and a great radio station. Is there an easy way to buy the tracks we like when we hear them - a link or soemthing that gets the station a fee from the click? Or do we just have to find them normally?

Following the amazon links from the site will allow you to purchase from Amazon and support SST as well.

Thanks for your support, landj.

This takes me to Amazon.com, I'm a Brit so use Amazon.co.uk, presumably the click gets you the referral and I just then manually find it on .uk if I want the Album. What I meant though is I'd just like the single track, not the Album. Is there a way to find the single track? Mind you I reckon if there is I'll not have any dosh left to buy Xmas Pressents for anyone Smile

Single tracks are probably most available from a service like iTunes. I don't know that there's a way to purchase from them and support SST (but at least you're supporting the artist).

As for the amazon/UK thing, I'm not sure how that works. I'll have to kick that upstairs.

Thanks, for now I'll click on the Amazon.com link and then find it on .uk, on the other hand with the Pound being so strong against the dollar maybe I'll get em in the US! Or just buy Amazon.com if the pound continues its climb Smile

If you view any album (click on the cover of what's playing or in the queue/played) there is a block on the right called merchant links. There is a Amazon link for each country in there. If you click on one of them we will get credit.

We accept iTunes only if the soundtrack is exclusive to iTunes.

Thank you so much for asking about our affiliate links and wanting to contribute!

Thanks for that, I wondered if it was possible to have an ability to set your favourite merchant so I can set up Amazon.co.uk instead opf the Amazon.com and see the best price etc for the UK. Just a thought...

No, not at this time but that is a good idea.
