Stefan, thanks for dusting off this old thread. This is great feedback.
It's been so long, I can't even remember how I found SST. Kind of a "which came first: chicken/egg" thing. I know I googled for soundtrack radio stations and it came up with either Live365 or SST. My life has not been the same since! |

Argh. Another thread displaying the "no post exist for this topic" disease. Another post should fix it.

I believe I found SST as one of the radio stations on Quick Time. I downloaded Quick Time originally to watch a movie preview. _________________ Emergency Command Override 100375 ---- "READY WHEN YOU ARE SGT. PEMBRY ...." |

I was looking on live365 after a long time, finding that it has changed a lot! And what I saw? Soundtracks folder? Great! That is how I have known SST |

My lack of posts and general none-participation would suggest that I've not been here for long, but I found SST on Shoutcast several years ago. Things have improved a bit since then - those were the days of sometimes not being able to listen because there were already 20 or so people listening, and that was the max.! |

Well, I would hope that things have improved a lot in the last 4-1/2 years.
Welcome back to a real "old-time" SSTer! |

I clicked the "Radio" button in iTunes by mistake...
I'd pretty much ignored internet radio until then since it's no fun at all to try and listen to it without a broadband connection.
Having gotten one pretty recently, I decided to try it out once more just for fun.
SST was the third stream I tried out... and I haven't gone away since. My own music collection has been gathering dust since then.
P.S.: Is there any synonym for "since"!!?? _________________ "Welcome to the paranoia club; cheapest fees in the universe and membership lasts forever."

Hey! JERIC, and how have YOU discovered SST?
BTW: I discovered SST thanks to forum on www.hans-zimmer.com and a guy with a nick "HZF". He gave me the link and I followed it.
Thanks again HZF (if you are reading this). This was really great hint. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Like alien_avatar I also found SST through the radio section of iTunes. SST is a God-send when I play D&D online as I can turn off the in-game music (music I have heard over and over and over since the game launched). Sure it may be weird to hear a Christmas song while in the middle of a dungeon crawl but I can deal with that because I know a more appropriate score is probably just minutes away! |

Well, I just can't remember it.
I remember listening to the stream looong before registering, but that's all. I was already a soundtrack addict back then, so I guess I did some g$$gle search! _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

When we got a decent broadband I looked for a internet radio for listening some music during my long hours of study (because I used to hear my own soundtracks but I knew it by heart),I didn´t expect to find a station with only soundtracks but then I discovered the stream (and it was like a miracle )
One or two years later I found the website,by chance I think _________________ Fear is the mind killer |

I have almost the same exact story.
It was back then when everyone could make a request. The station was found on the best nick of time, since I had a lot of working time on my home and wanted to hear some new scores, instead of the same old ones I have.
After a long period pause, I came back here and registered. And here I am! |

ARGH!!!! I went looking for this thread before I made the other one too!!!! I figured someone already made that!! Oh well Good save j2!
I first looked at "posts since last visit" and thought 73 people posted to the other thread in about 15min!
OK, here's what I wrote in the other:
I found SST through Winamp and Shoutcast. I would usually listen to videogame soundtrack or classical stations at work and I spotted SST. I listened to the stream for a few days and decided to check out the website. The rest is history!! _________________ I do not wake up with thoughts of control and rebellion, but thoughts of purpose and righteousness and the empowerment to fulfill those convictions that define me. |
