The second season of the new series starts in Australia next week. It will be interesting to see how David Tennant goes in the role, and I hear the Cybermen and Sarah Jane Smith return. Sounds cool.
But I can't wait until then ...
Best Doctor: Tom Baker
Worst Doctor: Colin Baker
Best Assistant: Jo Grant
Best Supporting Character: Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart
Best Villian: Harrison Chase (The Seeds of Doom)
Best Alien: Cybermen
Best Episodes: The Monster of Peladon, The Green Death, Planet of the Spiders, The Ark in Space, The Seeds of Doom, Genesis of the Daleks
Actor I would most like to see play Doctor Who: Bill Nighy
I stopped watching Doctor Who regularly after the episode "Horror Of Fang Rock". Something about the silly plot and truely crummy specials effects confirmed to me that I had outgrown the show, though I always popped in to watch from time to time. The last season with Christopher Eccleston was the first since then where I have watched every episode.
Good website at the BBC and Wikipedia always provide a comprehensive overview.

Woohoo a Dr. Who fan!!! Tom Baker is my favorite doctor, and my favorite assistant has always been Sarah Jane Smith, though Romana 2 comes in close second.
LOL Harrison Chase as best villian. He's certainly close, but I'd have to choose The Master played by Anthony Ainly for my favorite villian.
Loved all of your picks for best episodes, especially Seeds of Doom, Ark in Space, and Genesis of the Daleks. I would have to add on to that "The Five Doctors" and "The Key to Time". "City of Death" is my absolute favorite episode ever though.
I really enjoyed the new series with Eccleston. He did an amazing job, it's sad he couldn't stay longer. I can't wait to hear what you think of Tennant and the new episodes. Have you seen the Christmas Invasion yet with Tennant? |

I only liked Tom Baker best because he was my first introduction to the series - however - I am very fond of Christopher Eccleston most recently and Jon Pertwee for farthest back. I am glad they are doing episodes again.
My least fav was Peter Davidson and I never saw Colin Baker - my local television station quit playing the series around that time. _________________ 'It was irritating to me that I should need money. I shouldn't need it.' Ed, The January Man |

Colin wasn't horrible though. He did have the Trial of a Timelord episodes, which I thought were really cool. And you can't blame him for being kinda annoyed all of the time because he did have to put up with Mel and Peri. |

Hmmm..I will have to disagree there, Nen. I thought Colin Baker was awful: bad characterization and acting. He was like a parody of Tom Baker's Doctor.
And speaking of annoying companions, Tegan drove me CRAZY!!
But given only 3 members have voted, I guess I should have titled this topic the Tom Baker Fan Club. _________________ "After dark all cats are leopards." - Native American Proverb |
