This is the soundtrack to the IMAX film where the crew just happened to be climbing Mt. Everest as the same time as the ill-fated "Into Thin Air" party which met with disaster in 1996. They had started out to make an inspiring story about young climbers, but wound up also documenting the tragic situation with the other climbing party, and the score encompasses all this. This is one of the most entertaining and listenable film music CDs I've encountered (and I usually like the classics, so this really surprised me). It tells a coherent musical story - it has everything from Tibetan chants (not too much, just a taste) to breezy rock flavored instrumental to very inspiring orchestral music. Some of the music is based on songs by the late George Harrison. Every track on the CD would make a great addition to the playlist.

I remember being captivated by the score when I saw the IMAX film. It fit perfectly. You've got my vote!
Great HTML btw I gotta learn how to link with images. _________________ "Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens, makes her a home."
