Putting that in the queue violates the RIAA rules, POD. Sorry. However, the composer does appear in the Now Playing window. (Is that what you were talking about?)

i mean after i request a song...
as example:
Pirates Of The Caribbean
To The Pirates' Cave!
there is no comopser standing after the title, and anybody others want to hear something from klaus badelt and dont know that POTC is from him.. he want request a other song fom him but its not going..."the artist is in queue"
if standing the comopser after the title it gives no mistakes.. the people know "ahh its klaus badelt in queue"
example 2:
Pirates Of The Caribbean (Klaus Badelt)
To The Pirates' Cave!
i hope you understand me...

It is not allowed to show the artist name in the queue. Otherwise we would have done it. |

OK, I did understand you. We cannot show the artist in the queue (like Cal said). You'll just have to memorize every track by every artist.

That makes no sense.... care to point out where that's found in the RIAA rules? I've read them a few times and can't find anything like that (it is possible that I might be interpreting them differently.)

I'm pretty sure the relevant parts were posted or linked somewhere. No time to look now. I have some installs to do at work today so maybe I'll have a chance to find them later.

As you can see by 6.3:
"Advance [...] artist playlists [...] may not be published."
That's the reason why we aren't allowed to show the artist name in the queue. _________________ "Anything one man can imagine,

It was mr. Bing.... and I've read that a number of times and it didn't click.
An idea though, what about simply having a separate list if artists in queue.
According to the actual statute:
...this clause does not disqualify a transmitting entity that makes a prior announcement that a particular artist will be featured within an unspecified future time period...
Can that be interpreted to mean that we can have a list of artists in the queue, but just not specify when that artist will play? It could be a link "Who's in the Queue?" that pops up a window and lists the queues artists in alpha order.
Just an idea. It may not be possible, it might be, I don't know. And again, I may have not interpreted things correctly either.

The way I understand it, we should still be able to display the songs in order with composer names, as long as we remove the track length displays. People can still gather the track length information by clicking on the album cover.
It could mean that we have a choice between immediately knowing the COMPOSER name or the TRACK length, and it could be a matter of switching the two.
Before someone posts a poll on this interpretation, let's hear from someone who's found something in the RIAA guidelines that quashes this.
(And then someone starts a topic titled "RIAA interpretation," unless that's forbidden by the RIAA...) _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.

I know this doesn't really solve the problem, but it would at least be nice when I get "artist in queue" message if the message also told me the name of the song and album that is already in the queue. |

I think it is an interesting idea, AK. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Suggesting such topic should be forbidden too, Lake! _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,
