How many of you remember what you were doing exactly one year ago tomorrow? I remember it clearly. I was cooking lunch watching my soaps when a news flash came on. Two airplanes had crashed into the World Trade Center.
On this tragic day, over 8,000 lives were lost. One of them was my Uncle Pat. As a result, America had reunited in a way that it had never seen before. But the damage was done.
Let us take a moment to remember those who passed from this workd on this sorrowful day. Let us also remember those aboard the 3 flights who tried to thwart the hijackers.
And let us also remember. United We Stand, and Together, we as a Nation, will prevail. _________________ “Without music, life would be a mistake.”

What I remember about 9/11 is that it took this terrible tragedy to bring this country together. I had my flag flying way before 9/11 and the fact that other people needed to be "reminded" of what a great country we are and all the freedoms we have makes me sick to my stomach. Where were all these people before 9/11, bitching about taxes and potholes in the roads and not appreciating everything they have. When we are born, we should be issued a flag with our social security number. _________________ "I have *many* skills." -Xena |

Iremember exactly where I was when this hapened. I was in Class and our teacher got a phone call. He explained us what happened and one of my friend turned the portable radio he had... Next day we had 1 minute of silence in the whole school...
I think on this day many woke up to the realization that all is not well in the world and that something needs to be done about it.
My thoughts go to the 3000 losts in this tragedy. I also have high regards for the ones who dropped all they were doing, got together and helped to search for survivors (Red cross, Fire department, "Yellow shirts" and volunteers).
9-11 is the reason I is my signature. I truly hope it will happen sometime soon and I will do all I can to make it hapen.

I doubt I'll forget any of it anytime soon. I heard a boom, looked out my office window toward the Pentagon and saw the black cloud rise. Talk about "end of the world" dread. Petty problems of day to day life became just that...Petty. Priorities were rearranged for many people after that day, or at least let us hope so. |
