I think the 3hr queue thing is another item mentioned by RIAA, isn't it? (it figures...)
Since I get on early enough, I can get a req in before the queue starts heating up. I'll put in a 2nd req later, but only if it fits under 3hrs, and I stay away from tracks longer than 5 minutes.
I'd be more irked by # of VIP reqs in the queue (ie total track time) more than any single req at the end of a long queue. |

Queue grows up generally in the begining of afternoon (in France) when East America wakes up.
So I try to request a long track before noon ! |

If the queue is more than 2 hours, I will not request and listen to others'. _________________ Always wondered what a French photo album could look like?

I hardly remember the queue was 3+ or even 2+ hours long (except Long Track Day). I think an 1,5 hour long queue is optimal. I usually request a lot, especially on weekends when there are not many active SSTers. At that time I prefer long tracks. However, in most cases I am trying to respect the right of the other listeners to choose what they want to listen to. Even if it's F13 |

I would say the optimal queue length is 1:20 - 1:25, rather than right on the 1:30 boundary. This allows everyone the chance to request as frequently as their level allows (VIP or non-VIP). So down to that point I will try and refrain from any long track, below 1:15 I'm likely to deliberately throw in a longer one from time to time. Not that I dislike SAM these days, but usually there is something I would rather hear. _________________ If you can't stand the heat, don't tease a dragon |

| Huh, this was interesting to read. It's hard to imagine that the queue would get up to 3 hours, as I've never seen it at 2 hours except on Long Track Day, as far as I recall. |
