If there will be t-shirts then I would definitely like one [although I fully understand if there won't be] |

Hi Albi, please cross me out of the FMF list, unfortunately won't join you this year.
If anyone is interested I have one ticket for The Music of John Powell held on 28th June to give away. |

| Hi Viola! Sorry you will not be there. If you still have the extra ticket, I am interested. Turns out I just might be able to go. |

First indoors concert of the FMF since covid has hit took place yesterday indeed.
We heard music by W. Kilar and P. Glass performed by Sinfonietta Cracovia conducted by Michael Riesman. The orchestra played together with soloists: Joanna Radziszewska (soprano) and Aleksander Dębicz (piano).
Setlist:
Wojciech Kilar – 2nd piano concerto
Wojciech Kilar – Ray of light (The Portrait of a lady)
Wojciech Kilar – Orawa
Wojciech Kilar – Vocalise (The Ninth Gate)
Philip Glass – Suite (The Hours)
Wojciech Kilar – The Brides (Dracula - 1992)
Philip Glass – Suite (Dracula - 1931)
The concert took place at The Cracow Philharmonic where the first FMF concert took place 15 years ago and Sinfonieta Cracovia was the same orchestra that performed back then.
SST group is smaller than it used to be in pre-pandemic times but SiriusCreations, Caliburn, Olaziolek, Albi, martino, Mysza, Malibcia, kuvisit Filmflip and molossus were present. We expect more SSTers to join the group at the weekend.
Philip Glass was awarded The Kilar Award which was received on his behalf by maestro Michael Riesman (the head of Philip Glass Ensemble).
Expect a bit bigger report from the concert by Caliburn (at his website). _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Second concert was yesterday. „Scoring4Polish Directors: Jerzy Skolimowski” was the title.
Jerzy Skolimowski has had a long carrier not only as a director but as an artist of many skills and he’s worked with many famous and also less famous musicians making his movies (less famous ones including young Hans Zimmer who in 1985 had his first composition for a movie used in Skolimowski’s work - „The Lightship”).
The concert we had was rich in various styles of music and maybe not that easy listening experience at times but Skolimowski’s scope of work has a lot of avantgarde in it and the music of his films often was also pretty avantgarde.
Setlist:
Paweł Mykietyn - EO
FMF Young Talent Award 2022 winning composition
Wojtek Urbański – Hiacynt
Marcin Stańczyk – Ciemno, prawie noc
––––
Skolimowski Suite:
Krzysztof Komeda – Barrier
Krzysztof Komeda - Le Depart
Krzysztof Komeda - Ręce do góry
Andrzej Trzaskowski – Walkower
Řrganek – 11 minut (a piece titled: O, matko!)
Cat Stevens – But I Might Die Tonight (from a movie „Deep End”) - performed by Řrganek
Tony Banks – The Shout
Paweł Mykietyn – Essential Killing,
Paweł Mykietyn - 11 minut
Hans Zimmer, Stanley Myers – Moonlighting
The Skolimowski Suite was one 50 minutes long piece very nicely put together by the conductor of the event - Jan Stokłosa and performed by The Crakow Philharmonic Orchestra and outstanding soloists.
Artists:
The Cracow Philharmonic Orchestra
Stokłosa Collective Band
Soloists:
Katarzyna Chlebny – vocal
Edyta Krzemień – vocal
Lidia Sosnowska – vocal
Tomasz Organek – vocal, guitar
Kuba Więcek – saxophone
Wojciech Lubertowicz – duduk
Wiesław Ochwat – accordion
Stanisław Słowiński – solo violin
Wojtek Urbański
The winner of FMF Young Talent Award 2022 was Ignacy Wojciechowski from Poland. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,
