I downloaded Songs from Onegin in preparation for seeing the show this weekend.

Some of the scansion in the lyrics is weird, which irks me. But I'm still looking forward to seeing it.

I recently purchased the original cast recording of The Lightning Thief for my daughter, who loves all things Percy Jackson. We listened to it this weekend, and I failed mightily to keep my groans to myself. It's just so danged on-the-nose. But she likes it.

This is not a music CD, although it got music bits in it. I bought Welcome to Night Vale albums on bandcamp because they are awesome!
The story, the characters, the music and all sagments are amazing and you can't stop listening to this podcast.

I recommend it very much Smile

My most recent additions:

Surface Sounds (2021) by Kaleo

Icelandic rock band with Hawaiian name, currently based out of Texas. In general they've got a bit of a blues undertone but they veer into folk, country, pop, etc., on different songs. This latest album was supposed to be released last year but got postponed, like so many things, due to Covid. It finally came out last month & I've been listening to it lots. I also highly recommend their previous album, A/B (2016).

And they happen to pair nicely with my other new ones...

Vol. 1 (2019) & Vol. 2 (2021) by Radio Company

Austin-based duo of Steve Carlson and Jensen Ackles. They've been writing together for over a decade & the material is all their own compositions. (For those who know Ackles best as the actor who played Dean Winchester on the long-running series "Supernatural" it won't come as a surprise that there's a strong classic rock vibe.) The first release was good but I think I might like the new one even better!
