Hello SST! I love playing the organ, and I love the sounds of it. I haven't yet found any organ music on SST yet, though, as far as I recall. Does anyone know any? |

It's a bit on-the-nose, but searching for toccatas seems like a good start. The Castlevania Game OSTs have those, featuring organ.
Keeping with anime, there's organ on "The Memory of an Idea" and "Legend (The God's Name is Abraxas)" on the Revolutionary Girl Utena soundtrack.
These tracks don't show a lot of range for the instrument, I guess, but they're what I've got off the top of my head. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

There's Interzzztellar, I think Light of the Seven from Got season 6 features an organ shortly (?). The two things coming to my mind atm |

The blurb here lists a few soundtracks you could look into, but I didn't pay for the whole article to see if there is anything more specific. But I'd suggest also searching for "nathan barr wurlitzer soundtrack" to find a few other reports on this great organ & what it might have been used for. _________________ If you can't stand the heat, don't tease a dragon |

Also if you haven't yet, you'll want to talk to Cantus - our Church-music-meister _________________ If you can't stand the heat, don't tease a dragon |

They're short and probably not at all what you meant but there are a few (creepy) organ tracks on
The Ghost and Mr. Chicken
*specifically, tracks #13, 20, & 22
If you aren't picky about it coming from a soundtrack, there's a good deal of organ music over on our sister station, Adagio.FM,
which plays classical & light. The user interface & requesting system work exactly like the site here at SST, so if you have
particular compositions in mind, it should be familiar and easy to search the db there. These links can get you started, at least:
"organ" in album title
"organ" in track title
The chat on Adagio isn't typically as active as here, but you can usually catch somebody online sooner or later, if you want
to ask for more recommendations from the regulars there. Enjoy! |

One came up today! Organ only. Very modest as far as stops go. It is '2nd Wedding' from 'Spaceballs'.
Edit: Orochimaru's Theme from Naruto II was also largely organ, I think (my attention was diverted ) |

The castle from FF8 comes to mind... of course there is only a MIDI involved... no actual organs
And Dancing Mad from FFVI... |

Another track from Spaceballs: Wedding #1/Here Comes The Bride/Retreat.
I will check out The Castle from Final Fantasy VIII... but right now Uematsu is in the queue already.
Edit: Added it to my favourites!

I think this is a great suggestion. Castlevania definitely qualifies here! Except including organs it is just a great piece of soundtrack. If my memory serves me well, there were few orchestral tracks in an old PC game called Still Life. I am pretty sure at least one of them did include organs too. It is worth checking it out. The game itself didn't age very well but it is still a good game! |

I think Interstellar by Zimmer might have an organ track or two if I remember correctly. _________________ http://www.rhythmhealer.com |
