Hrm. Tough call. I think it qualifies as a film soundtrack, definitely, unlike that Chess recording from a few months ago. I like the show and I think the movie was well cast and did a good job with the material. The material itself is not the best in the world, but it's one of my preferred Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals.
At the same time, I'm a little on the fence about adding another musical. We seem to be inconsistent on that front here, which is okay. I'm giving it a definite maybe.

I own this myself but I would have to vote No. While it is definitely a movie by definition, it was a bit more of a musical. And while I am not opposed to adding musicals, this musical lacks, IMHO, the stuff to set it apart enough to be listed with some of the other more venerable soundtracks and musical currently available. _________________ Warum bin ich ich und warum nicht du?

I voted 'yes'. I think this was a fine film and the music is better than average. I really think this stands up to a lot of other musicals IMHO, so I think it could very well be added. But as usual I'll let JERIC decide in the end. |

I bought Evita: The Complete Motion Picture Music Soundtrack and I'm going to send it to SST soon. It has 31 tracks.
