Constant tweaking is done with the request times to give the listener and requester the best experience possible.
Since we had some complications in the past I think it is best to communicate these changes more. Hence this topic.
Dec 23, 2016:
I changed the request time back to 2 minutes for VIPs in our European mornings since in Europe it is now holiday seasons. The request time changes back to 5 minutes from 8 AM until 5 PM SST time.
I will probably revert this back to 2 AM to 5 PM somewhere in the beginning of January depending on when most of the Europeans returned from Holidays. |

New year has started. I reverted the change,
On week days the 5 minutes request time is active from 2AM until 4 PM SST. Note that it ends one hour earlier than before as a small tweak. |

I still think it is repressive to restrict VIP requests to 5 minutes during the workday. All it does is encourage people to requests longer tracks. I have never heard so many 7 and 8 minute tracks in my life! My first job in life was aa a Radio DJ and we played requests based on the music -- wait time be damned! I strongly suggest SST stop penalizing people who paid to request by imposing these draconian time limits. |

and i still like to remind people, that 5 minutes was the original wait time (as opposed to the 2 minutes for when there is less traffic) and is perfect to prevent end-of-the-queue-hogging when the queue is at 1:30. |
