The dates may change, but these are the probable dates of the FMF in 2017. Since it will be the 10th FMF, we should have lots of SST-ers there. Maybe 50 of us all wearing SST shirts?
Save the date!

Thank you DallasTreado!
Guys, feel free to post here all your ideas about SST at FMF2017.
10th FMF probably will be special and why not make our next FMF Gathering also special. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Probably I'll be there too _________________ "Look, let me explain something to you. I'm not Mr. Lebowski. You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or His Dudeness … Duder … or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing" |

Since I enjoyed this year's fmf very much, I will try to be there again next year. My ideas to make it special go in two different directions:
1. We could make it an even more outstanding event for the community by group activities. I am thinking of something like the excellent Ned screening in Prague last year, but there surely are many more possibilities (Vistula rafting, paintball, ...).
2. We could try to use the fmf as a platform to advertise sst: put up the famous sst stand at concert venues, get included into the festival schedule (panel discussions, presentations), hand out give aways etc. . This would potentially include a bit more work on our side and I am not sure if we have the ressources to do it. |

good ideas Plus+1 - it is not too early to think about it!
Rafting: I would just suggest rafting down the Dunajec River instead of the Wisla. It is a bit more scenic (but also a longer drive to get there). |

I'll be there as well, all days this time.
Like last year we will again have an SST MEET & GREET
with 3 composers as guest from SST.
Of course SST will try to have maximum exposure at the 10th
FMF.
It depends largely on the cooperation of KBF and the number of SST members coming.
I favour an outing like rafting as well, but it must fit my time schedule around those days.
Also this year's Tenerife Festival will see more SST advertising.
An overfilled donation meter would certainly add to the
possibillities. |

Furthermore there is interest from Maintitles members and
IFMCA (film music critics) to join our group if they can't get
press creditations.
Although some are already SST member. |

Maybe we could follow DTF's and plus1's example from this year and arrive in Kraków a day or two before the beginning of the festival.
Dunajec River is beautiful (especially with good weather). _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Reffering to Plus1's idea of group activities, my suggestion is a bike tour:
guided Krakow City tour, approx. 3h, cost ca. 90 PLN, or
guided tour to Benedictine abbey in Tyniec and picnic, approx. 4h, cost ca. 120 PLN or combined with a cruise along Vistula River (on request), or
guided Ojcow National Park tour (Poland's smallest but charming national park), approx. 6h, cost ca. 160 PLN, or
we can rent bicycles and ride where we want to, 1 day ca. 40 PLN (tandem 80 PLN). |
