Hi Im not really active here but Im kinda in a pickle. I have a project Im filming for school and it has a monster. Ive been looking for some music to play thats really intensive and scary and so far havnt found anything that fits perfectly. I knew if theres anyone to ask it would be this site and everyone here. If you guys could help and just name some songs off the top of your head thats creepy and intense I would love you forever. Im looking for something like Must There Be A Superman? from the new Batman v Superman movie. Thank you for your time!
TLDR version: I need scary music for a project. |

The temp track you just named doesn't sound scary to me.
Try listening to tracks from "Krull" by James Horner or
"the day the earth stood still' by Herrmann.
These contain some creepy themes that are often used as underscore for other movies.
Other titles that sprang in mind:
"The monster from the Black Lagune"
"the Creep behind the camera''
or even " Alien" _________________

"Pickled Heads" from Titus, by Eliot Goldenthal. That freaked me out the first time I heard the CD.
I second Dutchbat's recommendation of Alien.
"Those we don't speak of," from James Newton Howard's The Village is also good 'n' scary. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

The X-Files albums (tv/movies) by Mark Snow might suit, if you want creepy/suspenseful ambiance. They are all about the monster chases and provided you stay away from the main theme, it may not be immediately recognizable for a lot of people.
Good luck with your project! |

Requiem for a Dream by Clint Mansell - the Fear and Meltdown tracks are creepy in a nerve-twanging way, similar to Psycho without being as well-known _________________ If you can't stand the heat, don't tease a dragon |
