We will close down our poll nominations on March, 30th.
We will then make a shortlist with the granted nominations which will be open for voting until the end of April.
According to the plausible outcome of negotiations with third parties to have a major input on worldwide reknown awards we will start a new longlist of two categories that will run until Aug, 15th.
These categories are:
* Public Choice Award for Best Achievement in Composition for a Motion Picture.
* Public Choice Award for Best Score Track
Rules and restrictions will aply and a longlist will be open for entries approved by selected panel members. More info you will find later on the pertinent forum posting.
All votes for those categories will be included in the voting procedure of the World Soundtrack Awards. |

After a second listening I second Swordfish's nomination for:
Syberiada Polska by Krzesimir Debski
Although it's a dramatic movie and score, the use of accordeon and harmonica makes it a jewel to listen to.
Can also stand perfectly by it's own _________________

I hardly can imagine that this one has slipped my survey:
A great score for piano and orchestra by Rogue Banos.

I second Ender's Game, Game of Thrones, The Book Thief (although that took me AGES to fall in love with), and "La Mula" and "Romeo & Juliet" from Dutch's first post. _________________ sovotchka.tumblr.com |

I will also nominate "The Physician" by Ingo Ludwig Frenzel. The movie was alright, but the score is great. It takes you to a different place, and on a real emotional journey if you listen to it on its own, in its entirety, with no track skipping.

I absolutely second the nomination for " Der Medicus"
the feel of medieval music and still a modern approach makes this a gem.
I bought the album already after hearing two tracks on Spotify.
thanks Silver for pointing that one out to me.
I even second it for Best Cover Artwork. _________________

I agree with most of the scores already nominated, including Book Thief, Frozen, Lone Ranger, Pacific Rim, Game of Thrones Season 3, and Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. I would add:
El Tiempo Entre Costuras
Now You See Me
Frozen Planet |
