This year is the 7th annual John Williams Concert at the Hollywood Bowl.
Tickets are CLOSED!
What's great about this year is that it's a holiday weekend again!! It's a chance to get more people interested in coming if their vacation is a bit longer.
On top of that, on Sunday, September 1st, David Newman conducts The Big Picture. This year's theme is A Night at the Oscars, could be previous songs that won (vocals) or albums that won (non-vocals)... hopefully the latter. The sooner the tickets fill up, the sooner I can order more and the higher chance we'll all be sitting with each other.

Tickets are $44 and the picnic area is an extra $2.

Tickets are $37 each.
This is a great deal because we got 20% off and we're more center.

UPDATE 8/13
Since we don't have the 30 people required for the picnic area, we have to find our own seating. If we get there early enough, we might be able to find somewhere to sit in the park we were in. If there's nothing there, we can just eat at our seats. It'll be early enough that we can spread out. Hard to believe it's only 2.5 weeks away.

Ok so what's the deadline for getting money in by? Do we know? I am planning on coming but my finances are a little tight right now. Won't be able to get something together until sometime in April, so let me know if that works for you or if I need to come up with something before then. |

Jonette and I have decided to extend our LA trip by a day. we are planning to arrive on Wednesday and leave Monday morning.
we will be staying at the Best Western with everyone else.

I understand I live relatively close by and it took years for me to have enough cash to make a trip out there happen.
I then realized the trip was worth every penny and more.

If it may comfort you: I'm most likely NOT going due to budget.
Except when there would be, say, a group of around 30 what makes it worth to get a meet & greet with composers again.
