I've created a custom Google map for users to mark their locations on. You can visit the map here:

We're still working out the details, but it's my hope that anybody with the above link can edit the map, and add their locations.
 Currently we're having mixed results when not using a Google account.
Once you follow the link above click on the red EDIT button, then use the "Add a placemark" button in the upper left of the map display.
Please use the default blue icon for normal users. Other users (mods, admins, etc.) can use their appropriate colors.
Feel free to make suggestions for improving the map, and enjoy seeing where your fellow listeners live. Maybe even pay them a visit (with a proper invitation, of course...no stalking please!).

I would invite you all to get as many of your known SST-members to place their location on the map.
It was a nice tool before the map disappeared and this idea by J2 deserves
a large follow-up.

I would like to add, only add a location of your SST friends after they approved to have it added, the map is visible for everybody and not only SST members.

the topic is a bit old, but i only found it now with mol's help 
i added myself anyways I love this idea.
 Switched the thread to Sticky. Maybe it'll help to make the map a bit more popular among SSTers - mol.
we could also add a layer with SST meetings/concerts that sst members attend. Would anyone be interested in that? |
