Feels like half of the songs on here are Star Trek, and half of those are actually the same song.
Does anyone else feel similar? I know I'm overexaggerating, but I just feel like diversity is part of what this channel is / should be. |

No need to feel exaggerating or ashamed for speaking out: that's what these forums are for.
Apparantly there are a lot of Star Trek fans requesting this music and beside that we have a large database of the scores from either movie or TV-series, so that's makes it easy to have a lot of different requests on this subject.
Personally I'm less fond of the Ron Jones Project which sees a lot of supporting music for the series.
I do love some filmsocres though (Goldsmith, Mc.Carthy) _________________

In my opinion there should be a limit on one song in the queue per show. I also don't see why there would have to be two PotC songs in the queue, or say two superman tracks, even if they're not on the same album.
Of course it is not easy to implement that. |

Indeed. Difficult to implement, and there's the argument that they aren't the same show as they come from movies / different Star Trek series. However if it were possible, I think that this would be a great addition to the site. You can't have the same composer in the queue twice, so this is a logical continuation of that idea. Nice thought DnF. |

One suggestion I usually tell people is to become a VIP and request more songs that you want to hear.
There is nothing that we will do about limiting track by series. Honestly, I get sick of Star Wars music, but it is what it is and I take that few minutes to get something to drink, go use the bathroom or make a phone call and ignore those tracks.

If you don't like to listening Star Trek requests,i have a hot hint...
Use the mute button or Volume down
i use it too when
''Fiddler On The Roof''....
''Paprika''....
''Borat''...
''Moulin Rouge''...
''Zombieland''...
''The Phantom Of The Opera''...
''World Of Warcraft''...
and many other Soundtracks, which i don't like, playing
Everybody has their own taste and I'm a Star Trek Score fan, indeed

Or temporarily change streams to one of our other stations and switch back over here, when whatever is playing here that you're not that into, is over. |

It wouldn't solve the issue completely but we can also start a new discussion about extending "No repeats" time. ("No repeats" time extension for SST always sounds interesting for me). _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Thank you for the larger and red instructions to mute or turn the volume down. I don't think I would've picked up on those outlandish notions without the added emphasis.
I just wanted to check if anyone else felt similar to me. No need to be snarky. |

Well, okay then. For some reason I thought these forums may be better than most, where the clique shoot down any newcomers for not thinking the same way. I guess I was wrong.
Plus I thought an American would understand retaliation for an unprovoked attack.
This will be my last post on these terrible, blinkered forums. Not that anything I've said in this post will change anyone's mind, and I anticipate all the "NO U" so I'll pre-empt by saying don't bother, I won't read them. |

So, one thread doesn't go your way, and these are "terrible, blinkered forums?" That's not fair. And if you read the first few posts on this thread, it's clear that there are plenty of people who agreed with you, and more than a few who are willing to be civil.
Since Bliks has decided he won't read this, I address everyone else here when I say I apologize if what I said was out of line. And I do want to thank the readers and posters of this thread for largely being respectful of other people's hates. I've had a few moments on these forums where I felt I was being disrespected, and I didn't always get the response I wanted when I spoke up. But you know what? I'm still here, I've had some great conversations with you, and I still think this is a great forum.
Now back to grading papers. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?
